Mayor Nik Johnson
I am totally passionate about public service. That’s why I put the three Cs of Compassion, Co-operation and Community at the centre of everything I do. Nik Johnson
On the 6th of May Dr Nik Johnson was elected as Mayor of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.
As an NHS Children’s Doctor and a former District Councillor, he lives and works at the heart of our community.
Mayor Johnson has pledged to work for the whole of the county from our wide open fens to our busy cities. Following his stunning victory he stated:
“I want people to understand that Cambridge is not going to be the Combined Authority of Cambridge and Peterborough, it’s going to be greater Cambridgeshire. It’s going to be about inclusivity and the policies of compassion, cooperation and community. They’re going to be the heart of how I conduct myself and how I take policy forward. But I’m also going very, very keen to use public health and the green agenda going forward.”
