“Actions speak more loudly than words. I’m happy to give my time and hope it benefits the community” Liz Swift
Community focused Liz picked for County Council
Liz Swift has lived in Burwell for ten years. Labour chose her because of her energetic involvement in the local community.
I love living here. It’s a safe and friendly place. We’re lucky to have a good range of shops and services.
I believe that your views shine through from the things that you do.
I am chair of the management committee at Burwell Early Learners and a trustee of Burwell Action for Youth. I’m also a trustee at Burwell and District Day Centre – a charity offering services to older people.
I’m the chair of the Parish Council. I’m proud that we’ve agreed a Climate Emergency Action Plan. It shows what happens when we all work together.
My top priority on the County will be better Public Transport. The bus from Burwell, Reach and the Swaffhams takes ages to get to Cambridge or Newmarket. I worry for young people wanting to go to college. And I know that residents feel isolated with no evening, Sunday or Bank Holiday service.
Please support me to do even more for the community by backing me to be your County Councillor.
