I am a healthcare support worker. I care for people all day (and sometimes nights) at Addenbrookes. And my caring doesn’t stop there. I also support colleagues when they have employment issues through my role with UNISON. A union that serves the public sector key workers who look after us all.

I moved here right at the start of the Covid pandemic which wasn’t an easy time for any of us. Yet, I quickly found what a friendly place Fulbourn is and admire how everyone looks out for each other.

With the rapidly increasing cost of living, more people are feeling the pinch or, worse, having to make hard choices about which bills to pay. I want to be part of the team delivering Labour’s pledge to create the first ever anti-poverty strategy for South Cambs. We can learn from Labour County Councillors who have introduced the Real Living Wage and are providing help with everyday essentials for struggling families.
