I’ve lived and worked directly in the ward since 2019 (Capital Park). I really enjoy the rural aspects, the farmland, the peacefulness, having a butchers/greengrocers (something so sadly lacking in around the country), the nature, and the sense of community.

Being a younger candidate means I can be more in tune with the priorities of younger people, which incidentally have positive benefits on the rest of the population.

I am concerned about infrastructure in the ward.  Labour has pledged to reconnect our villages with more frequent, environmentally friendly buses along with support for active travel (walking and cycling). I’m keen to play my part in delivering this by working with the directly elected Mayor, Labour’s Dr Nik Johnson.

I play trumpet in the Cambridge Wind Band and have used my music to raise money for charity – one year I took to busking and collected several hundred pounds for a children’s hospital.
