Tillage Hall, Cambridge Road, Waterbeach, CB25 9NJ

All SE Cambs Labour members are invited to our CLP Meeting - 7.15 for a 7.30pm start.

The meeting will be followed by an informal ‘bring and share’ social. Please bring a drink (alcoholic or soft drinks) or some food, if you can.

We will spend the first 30 minutes (approx) discussing CLP issues - District Council campaigns, proposed election of a Business Liason Officer and CLP motions. We will then move on to a session on housing: ‘The Housing Crisis and what Local Authorities can do to tackle it’.

There will be a talk by James Bull, who, until recently, worked for Cambridge City and has worked with City Councillor Kevin Price on housing issues. This will be followed by questions and a general discussion, which we hope will cover issues with both rented and private sector housing, rent controls and combatting the rise in homelessness. We are hoping to set up a housing study group in SE Cambs for anyone who is interested in exploring the subject further.
